The Matrix movies refer to people having a choice between taking a red pill or a blue pill: The blue pill would prevent knowledge of the truth, and allow for denial and ignorance of what is real. The red pill would bring truth and awareness of what is really going on. The blue pill would mean a hypnotized, fogged experience, that would somehow make our lives meaningless and full of important lies of omission! The red pill would mean awakening from that foggy dream, and living a meaningful life, full of truth and strength of purpose! 
Thinkscapes.com has the purpose of encouraging those who claim to be caring, smart, (even patriotic) to awaken to the awareness of what is real and what has meaning to us. In our need to believe in something, to belong to something, to be true to something, to feel the energy of working toward goodness, against that which reduces good, we can be fooled into believing what is put before us most conveniently. The information we choose to expose ourselves to, as incomplete as it can be, can work against our earnest goals. Those malformed paradigms are immovable blocks to our being able to imagine something different, something real, something empowering. This site will add much better information, more complete information, often 'the other sides' of a topic, and the paradigm will shift! Things will begin to make good sense, even though the truth of what is going on may not sound good! That's where the courage to seek out the truth comes in. That's where waking up becomes more important than being comfortable. Evanescence did a song named "Bring Me To Life" in which we hear the phrase "Wake me up!" alternating with "Can't wake up!" ... One line in the middle of the song refers to 'love' as being what brings them to life, while the rest of the lyrics, along with the amazing music, is a call to 'awaken from the dark and nothingness we've become.' It's insightful and inspiring when applied to the people of our country. If you own 'Bring Me To Life' by Evanescence, playing it here is quite appropriate!
